If you are a frequent Cebu Pacific Air passenger like me, I’m sure you’re pretty familiar with the airline. But just in case you’re not very well versed with Cebu Pacific’s online registration system, here are a few helpful tips that could save you a few hundred pesos;
[ad#agile336]
1. Always buy your tickets in advance. Having a few extra days to spare when you buy your ticket allows you to get the best deal possible. Usually when you buy on the day that you play, you usually pay the highest fare.

2. If time permits, schedule your flight on a weekday, preferably Tuesday or Thursday. These are the usual ‘slow’ days which means you have better chances of getting those Cebu Pacific Promo Fares that are quickly snatched by the flying public.

3. If you’re only travelling for a few days, travelling light can be lighter on your wallet. If you don’t have any check-in baggage, you can save P200 for a roundtrip ticket. Before, you get to save P400 but since last week, you only get a P100 discount per way.

4. If you’re registering online, don’t get carried away by that seat selector thing. You’re getting charged a certain amount for that.

5. In the insurance portion, check carefully. As a default, the insurance radio buttons are checked and if you don’t uncheck them, they’re included in your billing. But of course you can leave them alone if you want to be insured. Please note that it’s not required.

6. There are now a lot of ways to pay for your Cebu Pacific Air ticket. You can pay online using your credit card, use bancnet or megalink, or call their hotline at 7020888 and buy over the phone. The last option is pretty handy because sometimes, online payment can be quite strict; if you make a mistake in stating your billing address for example, your transaction won’t go through. Calling the Cebu Pacific Hotline which will direct you to their call center is hassle-free.

7. Here’s the most important thing. Cebu Pacifc Tickets especially those that are covered by promos are non-refundable and if you decide to move your booked date, the penalties are really gonna hurt you. So be firm on your flight dates unless you are just overflowing with cash.

That’s it. If you have anything to add, just give me a shout-out in the comment section.

[ad#agile336]
I’m sure there are a lot of horror stories out there involving Cebu Pacific Airlines. But for someone who hasn’t had any bad experiences with them(errmm maybe those few weeks when they transferred to NAIA III), I really don’t have much to complain about.

I’ve availed of Cebu Pacific Airlines’ two main service offerings; passenger services and cargo services, and based on my own personal criteria, I will choose Cebu Pacific over Philippine Airlines any day of the week.

For international tourists who want to discover the wonders of the Philippines without breaking their children’s trust funds. Cebu Pacific Airlines offers the best value for money. And with their vision of letting Every Juan Fly, they always have promo fares every month which really helps the pinoy traveller.

It’s really admirable what Cebu Pacific Airlines has done in so short a time. Before they came barging into the Philippines’ Airline Industry, passengers live and die with Philippine Airlines. Now they’ve truly revolutionized the industry with PAL playing catch.

I still have some very cool things to say about Cebupacificair but I guess I’ll have to reserve those for another post.

Although this blog is solely dedicated to Philippine destinations that are usually off the beaten track, I do dream of travelling overseas as well. I think unconsciously this has been the central theme of my existence. Most of my work I’ve carefully chosen to have some sort of travel involved whether domestic or international.

[ad#336]
When I started out with my corporate career (why does this sound evil?), I did a lot of domestic travelling as an internal/external auditor. It’s just sad that blogging was unheard of those days. I could have filled pages with my travelling tales then. Although I did maintain a journal that’s still in existence until now.

After that phase of my career was over, I went on to better and farther things. My next work required travel in the Southeast Asian Region, again blogging was still at its infancy and even if it was in full swing, I wouldn’t have been able to come up with a travel blog; a food blog maybe because I made it my mission to really pig-out in the exotic places I went to. I ate bakuteh (pork soup with wintermelon) in KL (with folks sincerely asking whether I’m muslim first before serving me the scalding broth), noodles in squid ink in HK, some worms in Bangkok, and fish head curry in Singapore. I think I gained more pounds than experience in those travels.

Currently I’m in a work environment that could potentially take me to North America and Europe. It has yet to happen but I am hopeful that it will or it will be very sad. Lol. Still I’m saving some cash for that eventual Caribbean Tour that I’ve been dreaming about for ages. Or even a roadtrip all over the US states. Can’t blame me for that, it’s Hollywood’s fault. In fact I’m already on the lookout for really good vacation tour providers. You know, just in case. So far, I’ve already found one. Sundance Travel Agency looks really promising. I still have to really check out their offerings though, but I’m impressed with what I’ve seen so far. I really like their focus on customer satisfaction, something that most travel agencies I’ve dealt with seem to lack.

In the meantime, since I still don’t have enough savings yet, I guess I’ll just keep working and hoping that I’ll be sent out on an assignment to Europe really soon.
