After some idle time, I decided to cut short my account on Hinatuan’s Enchanted River. Perhaps its just boredom or maybe its the lure of another spot waiting for me to set foot on. Right now I’m salivating on the thought of going to Tinuy-an Falls somewhere in Bislig, Surigao Del Sur.

Looking at the enchanted river for the first time simply took my breath away. Yes the picture wasn’t deceiving at all. The water is blue and you can see down to its bottomless pit. Seeing the river in front of my eyes, I didn’t know what to do first. Should I jump in first? Should [...]

This is going to hurt. Your eyes. There’s so much to tell about my trip to Hinatuan that before I knew it, I have already written several pages of ‘reports’ on my trip. Plus the pictures that I am obligated to insert in between paragraphs, makes this latest travel a rather long tale. As I am a Naruto fan, I’ll try and split them into nine tales. Nine tails, get it? No? Oh well.

In about 10 hours from now I should be wetting my feet in one of Caramoan’s beautiful beaches. Barring all natural calamities, I intend to have a wonderful time swimming and taking photographs of this awesome part of the Philippines. [ad#336] If Caramoan sounds familiar to you, this is probably because Survivor is filming there [...]

Butuan City is a storied place, and not without it’s controversy. It’s been said that even before the Philippines came to be, there was already the Kingdom of Butuan. Of course a lot of people were quick to dispute that claim. This post is the first in a series of featured articles/photos from other travel related blogs. In this blog post, Abbie Maquiling, who owns Discovering Pinas, dives deep into the island of Camiguin. Aided with pictures, Abbie takes us into the heart of Camiguin Island. As you can see from her post, Camiguin offers more than its sweet lanzones and that little strip of sand people call the White Island. Enjoy!

Flores De Mayo (Flowers of May) used to be a rather exasperating time for me as a kid. My old folks would force me to attend those bible classes along with dozens of other kids. The only incentive to attend then was the free asucarada (biscuits sprinkled with sugar, totally bad for your teeth) and [...]

Lake Mainit is part of Kitcharao, Agusan Del Norte and no, I haven’t morphed into a Paris Hilton wannabe all of a sudden. Mainit translated into English is ‘hot’. Not much subtlety there.[ad#link468] [ad#336] Surigao City bound travellers are treated to a marvelous view of Lake Mainit as they go down the winding mountain roads [...]

Instead of an overnight visit, we made a daytrip out of our Cagwait adventure. A downpour early in the afternoon got us all drenched and cold and wanting to go home badly. Nothing like the weather to start raining in your parade. But I’m getting ahead of myself.

The amazing thing about life is that you never know what happens next. Yep just like what Forrest Gump said. I was bent on going to Lake Mainit for Good Friday, instead I found myself spending the night in San Francisco. Don’t get fooled by the name, this is in Agusan Del Sur, where one [...]
